My Story
My journey did not begin with a perfect roadmap.
Before becoming a registered nurse in the United States, I worked as a nurse in Nigeria for many years. Like many internationally educated nurses, I had questions about where to begin, which direction to take, and what opportunities were available to me.
It took me approximately four years of researching different possibilities before a friend connected me with a U.S. recruiting agency. That connection helped move my journey forward, and I remain grateful for the guidance I received.
I eventually prepared for and passed the NCLEX while still living in Nigeria and later continued my nursing career in the United States.
But my experience also taught me something important: moving forward is not only about completing requirements. It is also about understanding what you are agreeing to, asking the right questions, evaluating your options, and thinking about your long-term goals.

Why This Work Matters to Me
I want other IENs to begin with more clarity than I had.
When you are trying to build a professional future in another country, it can be difficult to separate reliable information from opinions, promises, and pressure. One nurse may tell you to do one thing while another person tells you something completely different.
My goal is not to make decisions for you. My goal is to help you understand the bigger picture, organize your questions, identify your next practical step, and know where to verify important information before you commit your time or money.
